The president's remarks wrapped up a five day convention in New York that featured speeches and workshops with NAACP National President Benjamin Jealous, former Congressman and NAACP President Kweisi Mfume, Urban League Director Marc Morial, Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, Congressman Charles Rangel, New York Governor David Paterson and Dr. Cornel West, among others.
Obama encouraged young people to reach their goals and dreams. He did not introduce new policy items.
